What health articles did Leesa write in February 2017?

What health articles did I write in February 2017?     As a health writer, I am committed to creating understandable and fun articles that are fully science-based. And in the online health & wellness field, it can be pretty tough to stick to your “science guns” when some people just want to know what food, nutrient, or supplement will fix what ails them. More often than not the science is inconclusive, or barely existent. Yet “Dr. Google” will show a bunch of people promoting treatments and cures that are unproven. Yes, completely and utterly unproven. I mean, eating more veggies and taking a vitamin may actually be a great idea for most people. But there is a fine line to cross when it comes to translating basic scientific research, often not even in humans, into answers that honestly solve people’s health questions. And, I’m afraid that, “we really don’t know yet”, just isn’t very compelling or sexy. And it’s not the kind of definitive answer that people want so they can feel better. But people want to believe that you have the answer to naturally improve their health, and that it will work. As a science writer, that’s kinda “placebo-y”. There is a ton of good science out there that can help maintain and improve health. And I love digging it up, sorting through it, and translating it into fun and actionable articles for you. And if you know me, my work is proudly hype- and BS-free. So, to share some more of the (credible and science-based) articles I author on other websites, I’m linking them below. I write a lot. And thoroughly research each piece. Most of the posts are for other health and wellness professionals, and I want to share them with you. Some of them are ghostwritten (I

How to maximize health content – Content re-purposing 101

Maximize health content   Do you create your own content? And/or, Do you have a writer or ghostwriter create content specific for your business, your angle, and your audience? If so, I want to help you get the absolute MOST out of Every. Single. Piece. Of. Content. Because creating that content has involved a lot of your time and/or money, so let’s make sure it goes as far as possible! Let’s maximize your health content!   What do I mean by “maximize health content”?   I’m talking about using one piece of content to create more blog content here, not promotional or social media content. Of course you’re going to include each post in your newsletter, and promote it on social media. This article is about creating “real” content. Like, how to make a great post: Into an even better post; or Into a list-building machine; or Into 2, or 3 (or more) separate posts; or Into a way to engage your audience.   How to make a great post even better   The reason why I personally love making great posts even better, is because it will help you to rank that post in search engines. In terms of SEO, it is better to have one “epic” post, rather than 4 similar ones with the same keyword or topic. And this suits me just fine because every time I write a post, I make it longer than it needs to be. With good content, not filler BS wording, of course. I just love diving into the research and sharing my learnings with everyone. And I like to be thorough. 1 – Add internal links. Make sure that every piece of content links to related posts on your website. Make sure those
